recognize and implement the stages in their own writing.

of writing styles and genres. They also gain an understanding of the
ways in which all types of writing are interconnected. At the end of
this course, students will be able to effectively index and mine
their journals for ideas and writing material, draft an original
poem, and create the beginnings of a work of fiction or nonfiction.
